Promote empathy, collaboration, creativity and wellbeing in communities

Make The Change Education in partnership with Maní Ecopedagogy.

Together we navigate between the visible and invisible elements of Learning and Social Ecosystems, the connections and relationships involved in learning and explore different topics, tools and resources that can help us to integrate and promote awareness, empathy, care, collaboration, creativity and agency to our own classrooms, school communities, and organisations.

What is Regenerative Learning?

Regenerative Learning can be both the foundation and the catalyst for positive impact across different dimensions and fields of life.

It cultivates a way of thinking, feeling, and being deeply connected to our own selves, each other and the world around us, promoting a way of learning and living that leads to personal, collective and planetary well-being.

The approach

In an educational context, Regenerative Learning practices support school leaders and teachers in developing a systems approach to education and becoming more resourceful in developing learning experiences, projects, and spaces that promote transformative and regenerative education.

It helps educators, students and the school community give meaning to content and connect what and how they learn to the challenges and needs of the world they live in. This encourages them to take an active role in being part of the change they want to see in the world.

Given the systems approach, the same principles can bring meaningful impact in non-educational contexts. We have successfully integrated regenerative learning into workshops for Educators and School Leaders (at International School of Zug and Lucerne), for families, and for organisations like the Young Presidents Organisation (YPO).

“The  workshop integrates “Head, Heart and Hands” through a collaborative methodology, inspired by nature and guided by ecological principles.

It is an invitation to awaken our potential, revitalise and evoke aliveness to our lives and professional practices."

The Workshop Journey

In a workshop we:
- Build the foundation for an ecological perception of life and education;
- Deepen our understanding of the importance of relationships and cooperation in nature, in our lives and in learning;
- Learn about learning ecosystems;
- Practice collaborative methodologies;Activate collective intelligence;
- Experience and come into contact with elements of systemic methodologies and frameworks such as Systems Thinking, Ecoliteracy, Permaculture, Participatory Leadership and ‘Work that Reconnects’
- Develop a tool-kit for taking an active role in cultivating a positive change in our school community or organisation and the world within our own possibilities.
